During the current pandemic all of your councillors have been busy in our community, even those who are shielding have continued to be active emailing, calling and responding to residents in their wards.  Here are some examples of the activities a few have been doing. 

Fund helping communities through Coronavirus to be extended

Your local County Councillors have an extra £2000 each for community groups to bid for.

This follows the success of the £2500 they each handed out in April for community groups struggling with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Micro-businesses are being offered free PPE

 

The ‘Start Back PPE Pack’ contains one pack of 30 face-masks and 25 pairs of gloves, and is being offered to up to 2,000 businesses in the Staffordshire County Council area who apply via their website.

New Leader for Staffordshire County Council

Staffordshire County Council has appointed Alan White as its new leader.

The Conservative Councillor for Lichfield Rural East was first elected to the authority in 2009 and served as Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Health, Care and Wellbeing since 2017.
